Week 40: Cris
Cris! This bag told me it was for you. :)
Hi David! You may or may not remember….but a few years ago, you sent me this quote at a time when I needed it most. The words to aspire to and the kindness of your gesture have stuck with me ever since. Thank you.
Meg, Meg, Meg….where to begin!? You were one of the first people I told about this project. You were, as always, so encouraging. And here it is, 36 “weeks” later.
Thank you for your friendship and support through many ups and a few downs. You are the embodiment of grace in all you are and do. From the finer points of baking to animated storytelling, everything is done with charm and loveliness. I think there are many who would agree with me wholeheartedly…
This little pillow is special to me, I hope it will be to you too! It’s inspired by a unique “flag” that used to fly at my parents’ home. I inherited it and always wanted to do something with it, but could never bring myself to cut it apart. The next best thing was to repaint the design on fabric and use that instead!
Dana, I feel so lucky to know you! I can honestly say I have experienced some important moments of my life because of you and your passion for good. I treasure the countless, side-splitting laughs as well as your thoughtful and personal insights on life and loving. You are a gem of a person!
I’m totally on a jewelry kick! Another necklace for another lovely lady…
It’s no secret how much I love, love, love the faded, orange and blue mural in downtown Indy. (Urban Wall, Roland Hobart, 1973.) After a spirited conversation, I found I share that love with Shawn, a talented artist working on her own mural.
Shawn, it’s been amazing watching you work! Your attention to detail and passion for art is inspiring. You’ve created something that Indy will love for years to come.
