Happy Birthday to the bee-loving Emily. Hope it’s a good one, friend!
This one was so fun! Though, at first, it was hard to decide what to do for the main artist in my life. I finally settled on experimenting with a visual that’s been around pretty much as long as I can remember. I expanded on my dad’s logo. Seen here:
I started out with a line drawing, then sent it to Rodney of Logger Productions who cut the design out of steel. I added a little primer, a little paint….
For Dad…my first art teacher and critic. Thank you for all the valuable lessons over the years…on life and on art. I love you!
For Nathan and the fine folks at Union Brewing Company. It’s the little things that make you enjoy a place…..the welcoming atmosphere, the sharing of knowledge, and a story about Omaha, Nebraska. Cheers!
Hi David! You may or may not remember….but a few years ago, you sent me this quote at a time when I needed it most. The words to aspire to and the kindness of your gesture have stuck with me ever since. Thank you.
Meg, Meg, Meg….where to begin!? You were one of the first people I told about this project. You were, as always, so encouraging. And here it is, 36 “weeks” later.
Thank you for your friendship and support through many ups and a few downs. You are the embodiment of grace in all you are and do. From the finer points of baking to animated storytelling, everything is done with charm and loveliness. I think there are many who would agree with me wholeheartedly…
This little pillow is special to me, I hope it will be to you too! It’s inspired by a unique “flag” that used to fly at my parents’ home. I inherited it and always wanted to do something with it, but could never bring myself to cut it apart. The next best thing was to repaint the design on fabric and use that instead!
